Our second annual gathering in New Orleans: workshops and classes, lectures, vendors, and a historical competition with an experimental ruleset. Friday’s opening ceremonies include armored foot combats. Meals are included with your ticket, and Saturday’s reception has live music.

WHAT IS A FECHTSCHULE?
Fechtschulen were competitive, evaluative, and training events held in the free cities of the Holy Roman Empire. Ours are in that spirit. The competition uses an experimental ruleset meant to reward skill, technique, and tactics, and it invites the audience in. Around it there is training, learning, and a lot of free fencing.
You need a mask and gloves. Swords are provided for each fechtschule.
